Hello Everyone! My name is Sarah Rini. I am from Texas, but
came here because I love this school. I am a Psychology major here at the
University of Oklahoma. This is my first semester as a senior and I will
graduate in December, I am trying to finish school in 3 and a half years.
This semester is an interesting semester for me because I am
taking classes in many different subjects to fulfill my upper-division elective
requirements. I only have two more classes left to take in my major, but I hope
to take those this summer in Scotland. I’m really lucky because my last two
classes are offered abroad through my college. I really hope to be selected to
participate in the program because Scotland is one of those places I have
always wanted to go to.
Traveling around the world has been a very important part of
my life; ever since I was younger my parents took us on many different trips. I
have been very lucky to experience many different places in my lifetime. After
my freshman year of college I took a year off to travel in a group called Up
with People. It is a nonprofit organization that travels around the world. I
was with a group of about 120 other students. We performed a singing and
dancing show and did community service in all the places that we traveled to.
Every week we went to a new place and had the opportunity to stay with
different host families. It was a
fantastic experience for me and really opened my eyes to the world.

I have a lot of hobbies but one of my all time favorite
things to do is to read books, I always have a book on me and am always looking
for different ones to read. I really enjoy fantasy and fiction but I have
enjoyed reading mainly every book I have come across so far. I also enjoy
watching movies, some of my favorites are The
Lord of the Rings trilogy, and recently I have loved The Hunger Games. I love spending time with my family and cherish
every opportunity that I have to go home and see them.
One of the major events in my life in 2014 was that I got a
puppy over the summer. Her name is Skyla and she is a Morkie Poo! She is truly
an awesome puppy and is currently learning some fun tricks. She lives here in
Oklahoma with my roommates and I and we spoil her rotten!

I am excited to take this class I have heard so many great things
about it!
